"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works,
which God prepared before hand that we would walk in them." Ephesians 2:10

Your Involvement: Prayer

Prayer is the undergirding of every ministry that relies on God for the wisdom, strength and power to accomplish what He has called that ministry to do. Ours is no different. We are unable to do what the Lord has called us to do under our own strength, with our own wisdom. It is the Lord Jesus Christ that we rely on to do the work that He has called us to do.

One of the greatest ways that you can support the ministry the Lord has given us to do here in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua is to pray. We regularly update the news section of this website to give insight into what we are doing, what life is like for us here and what you can be praying for on a day to day basis. We also highlight specific items to pray for and specific praises on our newsletters and in the PRAISES and PRAYERS section of every page on this website.

Some of the general things to pray for are:

Pray for open doors for ministry and the gospel and the wisdom to see them. It is always easier to walk through an open door than to have to find a way to open it. I am not saying that the work will ever be easy by any means, but by recognizing opportunities that the Lord has created we can be much more effective in the work here.

Pray for our health as we are living in a strange place, eating strange foods and encountering strange illnesses. Health related issues can be a major hindrance to the work that any missionary is doing. Having to battle physical illnesses on a regular basis can and will be draining physically and mentally which will eventually put a strain on the work that we are trying to do.

Pray for wisdom. We are living in a foreign land with foreign customs and we need the Lord's wisdom to be able to minister to the people of this land the way that is the most effective. It is easy to offend someone if you do not understand their customs and traditions, so please pray that we will learn how to be sensitive to the culture without overlooking sin.

Pray that the Lord would prepare the hearts and minds of the people that we are here to work with. A more fruitful harvest is always reaped when the ground has first been properly prepared by plowing and fertilizing. It is no different in this ministry, if the Lord prepares the hearts and minds of the people, we will be able to see a fruitful harvest to His Glory.

Please check the news page regularly to see what we are facing and what we need prayer for specifically.

Thank you for your prayers and support and God bless.
